La band si forma nel gennaio 2002 quando Fabio Lentola (chitarra) incontra Fabio Leperdi (batteria) e Max bastasi (voce).
Fabio stava cercando musicisti con cui proporre un repertorio ispirato a gruppi quali Queensryche e Fates Warning; Fabio e Max invece venivano da un'esperienza in una cover band in cui suonavano principalmente canzoni dei Dream Theater ma anche alcuni brani dei Queensryche e stavano cercando un chitarrista per realizzare una serata tributo in cui riproporre solo pezzi della band di Seattle.
Ma la scelta e' di dare vita ad una tribute band effettiva. Marco (chitarra) e Massimiliano 'Alien' (basso) si uniscono alla band.

Come repertorio, viene deciso di ispirarsi al tour di Empire, quindi comprendendo una prima parte con i principali successi dei Queensryche, ed una seconda parte con la riproduzione di "Operation: Mindcrime" nella sua intera sequenza e totalita'. Da qui la scelta del nome e del logo Anarchy-x. A questo punto, Valeria Colombo si uisce alla band dal momento che era necessario qualcuno che interpretasse la parte di Sister Mary.

Nell'inverno del 2002 e dopo alcuni concerti la band decide di registrare un demo-cd, registrato e prodotto da Fabio Lentola c/o il suo studio di registrazione. Il cd contiene 6 tracce (walk in the shadows, damaged, revolution calling, suite sister mary, silent lucidity, queen of the reich) e 1 bonus track (someone else?).

Nell'Ottobre 2003 Fabio Leperdi decide di lasciare la band e Luca Roggi (Black Jester, Helreidh) prende il suo posto.

This project was created by Fabio Lentola (guitar) in January 2002, when he met Fabio Leperdi (drums) and Max Bastasi (vocals).
In fact, Fabio was searching for some musicians who accept to play progressive music as Queensryche and Fates Warning, Fabio and Max came from a Dream Theater cover band, but they used to play some Queensryche's songs too. In the other hand they were searching for a guitarist especially for a show in which they should play Quenensryche's songs only.
But the choice became to create a real tribute band. Then Marco (guitar) and Massimiliano 'Alien' (bass) joined the band.

The first step was to propose the 1991 Queensryche's show, then a first suite with the most famous songs and a second suite with the complete version of "Operation: Mindcrime". Therefore Valeria Colombo joined the band because someone was necessary to perform the Sister Mary part.

During winter 2002 and after few concerts, the band decided to record their first demo-cd, that was completely engineered by Fabio Lentola at his home recording studio. The cd contains 6 tracks (walk in the shadows, damaged, revolution calling, suite sister mary, silent lucidity, queen of the reich) and a bonus track (someone else?).

In October 2003 Fabio Leperdi dropped out of the band and Luca Roggi (Black Jester, Helreidh) took his place.
